An acquaintance of mine recently had a chance to do a beer taste test (she was paid $30) here in central New York. Here's her report:
Diary of a Beer Tester January 6,2005Pretty cool. Don't ask me how you can get in on being paid to drink beer - I don't know at this point!I arrived at 645 (cutting it close) and had to fill out my life story about beer. I was the only woman at the test. Sat at a table with dividers (like I am going to cheat on a beer survey) and had to eat a cracker and drink some water to cleanse my palate while I waited for my beer. When the beer finally came there were only two cups. I had to taste each one and mark off which one tasted better and I was done. It took about 25 minutes and I made 30 bucks. The funny things was most of the guys that were there said they were going to go buy beer with their money on the way home.
