Diary of a Beer Tester

An acquaintance of mine recently had a chance to do a beer taste test (she was paid $30) here in central New York. Here's her report:

Diary of a Beer Tester January 6,2005

I arrived at 645 (cutting it close) and had to fill out my life story about beer. I was the only woman at the test. Sat at a table with dividers (like I am going to cheat on a beer survey) and had to eat a cracker and drink some water to cleanse my palate while I waited for my beer. When the beer finally came there were only two cups. I had to taste each one and mark off which one tasted better and I was done. It took about 25 minutes and I made 30 bucks. The funny things was most of the guys that were there said they were going to go buy beer with their money on the way home.

Pretty cool. Don't ask me how you can get in on being paid to drink beer - I don't know at this point!
